5 Drawbacks of Blogging

Blogging is a great way to get information out to the public. It also is an awesome way to speak your mind and get feedback from other people. Blogging is also a business idea. If your blog becomes popular enough you can start making money and could influence other people to buy your product.

Now although there are many benefits of blogging there are also the negatives. Here are 5 drawbacks of blogging.

Drawback #1: Time Commitment
When it comes to maintaining a blog, it takes a somewhat large time commitment. Bloggers who are successful will blog about once a day at least. So if you want to be a blogger than you should really consider how much time it will take up.

Drawback #2: Stress
Blogging is a very good stress reliever but it can also stress you out. Many bloggers do write about what stresses them out in a way to vent on their blog but it can get stressful. Bloggers have to constantly be coming up with new ideas but they also have to be consistent. It can also be stressful when you start to get negative feedback.

Drawback #3: Staying consistent
When you are a blogger you have to stay consistent in your responses. Readers like to see a consistency to your blog. At the the same time they want fresh stories and topics to read about.

Drawback #4: Feedback/ Criticism
Blogging is great when your getting feedback and even better when your getting the feedback that you want. Then there are the times when your not getting any feedback and when you do it's negative. To some people this can be very discouraging. If you are not the type of person that can't handle criticism well than blogging can be very difficult.

Drawback #5: Interest Level
Blogger's write about what their passionate about and what is on their mind that is bothering them but sometimes they have nothing interesting and they don't see the point of blogging. I for one wouldn't want to blog about something on my own time if i wasn't truely passionate about it.

Linus Torvalds- Linux Creator

Linus Torvalds is a Finnish American software engineer, who developed the Linux kernel. Torvalds has a master's degree in computer science from the university of Helsinki. He also has a two year honorary doctor status at Stockholm university.

According to Forbes.com he is "King of The Geeks". "The tech industry has always been a haven for nonconformists. Its heroes, like Linus Torvalds, are brilliant, bullheaded and brash. They say what they want, wear what they want and rage against the machine." (Forbes.com)

I believe that Linus Torvalds is held to such high praise because he developed an operating system very similar to Windows and OS . Also according to linux.com, the Linux is used to power the everything from the New York stock exchange to mobile phones and supercomputers to consumer devices.

I believe that Linus Torvalds is one of the greatest programmers if not the greatest programmer. Linus Torvalds' Linux is the base for so many devices such as HP Mini, Lenvovo IdeaPad s9, Motorola MotoRokr EM35 phone, One Laptop per child XO2, Sony Bravia Television, sony reader, and yamaha motif keyboard. These are just some of the devices that are Linux based. One of the reasons i say that he maybe the greatest is because i feel that Richard Brodie the lead creator of microsoft word made a huge contribution to the way we use computers with the microsoft office creations.

Linus Torvalds' Program

Linux according too linux.com is Linux, " in simplest terms, an operating system. It is the software on a computer that enables applications and the computer operator to access the devices on the computer to perform desired functions. The operating system (OS) relays instructions from an application to, for instance, the computer's processor. The processor performs the instructed task, then sends the results back to the application via the operating system." (linux.com)http://www.linux.com/learn/new-user-guides/376-linux-is-everywhere-an-overview-of-the-linux-operating-system

Linux was first released on October 5, 1991.

One difference between linux and windows or mac is that Linux has full access meaning linux belongs to GNU Public license so users can alter to the kernel. Another is licensing freedom, with linux you are free to modify software as you please.
